Big Splash Outdoor Art Project…

Newport Live has commissioned Malarky Arts to work with Serennu Children’s Centre (Sparkle), Clytha Primary School and the Dads Can group to create three pieces of outdoor artwork that will pop up on the Big Splash site.

Newport Live has commissioned Taking Flight Theatre Company to work with Serennu Children’s Centre to create a fun and slightly cheeky live performance that will pop up on the Big Splash site. So, keep a look out for some unusual goings on in the city centre on Saturday! We will list the times and locations of these performances here soon…

Mae Casnewydd Fyw wedi comisiynu Cwmni Theatr Taking Flight i weithio gyda Chanolfan Blant Serennu i greu perfformiad byw hwyliog a phryfoclyd a fydd yn ymddangos ar safle’r Sblash Fawr. Felly, cadwch olwg allan am ddigwyddiadau anarferol yng nghanol y ddinas ar Ddydd Sadwrn!

Throughout the Saturday and Sunday, TGI Fridays will be setting up on the lawn in Usk Plaza at the Friars Walk Shopping Centre offering family cocktail workshops.

You can learn how to make non-alcoholic cocktails, using slush recipes, suitable for children and also learn how to chuck the bottles around like a pro!.  They will be hosting a ‘flair’ workshop, which is a form of juggling with bottles!

Times are: 1pm and 4pm Saturday and 3pm Sunday in Usk Plaza.

There are oodles of activities and workshops at the festival for families of all ages. From drumming, creative craft to gardening, you will find something to get stuck into. And the best bit? Its all free!

The Riverfront Theatre and Arts Centre is the family zone for the weekend and will be putting on lots of free activities!
